Supplementing our crops with nitrogen fertilizer is vital to create sufficient nourishment to back our developing population. Unfortunately, up to 50% of applied Nitrogen can be lost through volatilization, leaching, runoff, and denitrification before plants can utilize it. Also, it leads to groundwater pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. N-Hance A is a natural “biological nitrification inhibitor (BNI)” oil-based formula formulated for application with Nitrogen based fertilizer. BNI refers to compounds that are synthesized or secreted by plants that have nitrification inhibition abilities. Unlike synthetic nitrification inhibitors that only inhibit the ammonia oxidation process (AMO) pathway, BNI present in this formula inhibit both AMO and hydroxylamine reductase oxidation (HAO) pathway. Furanoflavonoid (3-methoxy furano - 2ʹ, 3ʹ, 7, 8-flavone) is the principal BNI molecule present in this formula.

Suggested Application Rates & Method

  • For Spring application: Apply 1.5 to 2 L/1000Kg of dry Nitrogen fertilizers or its blends
  • For fall application: Apply 3 to 4 L/1000kg of dry Nitrogen fertilizers or its blends.
  • Ensure oil is warmed to 20-30ºC before applying to fertilizer.
  • In Spring, use companion product N-Hance B, at rate of 2-3 kg/1000 kg of Nitrogen fertilizer or its blends.
  • In Fall, use companion product N-Hance B, at rate of 4-5 kg/1000 kg of Nitrogen fertilizer or its blends.
  • Consult an agronomist or crop consultant for best advice based on local farm conditions.

Special Notes

  • Use in accordance with the recommendations of a qualified individual or institution or according to an approved nutrient management plan.
  • Ensure product is warmed to 20-30⁰C before applying to fertilizer.
  • Ensure the treated fertilizer is dry before storage and there is sufficient aeration in the storage.

Storage & Disposal

Store in its original package in a cool and dry place, away from reach of children and animals. Follow directions for fertilizer storage and disposal as per local guidelines, provincial, and federal regulations.
